Today is Armed Forces Day.
Once overhearing a clergyman say that he hoped "the Lord was on our side," President Abraham Lincoln replied: "I am not at all concerned about that, for I know that the Lord ia always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side." (1)
'But now the Lord declares.. "Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained."' 1 Sam 2:30
Pray for our Country, Civic Leaders and Schools today.
'It seems that our nation dies a little every day as we steadily disassociate ourselves from Your word and our own history. Revisionism and political correctness have taken center stage, while the fear of offense keeps us from pursuing holiness.
Keep our eyes, the eyes of Your people Father, fixed on the unchanging truth of Your word and don't permit ungodly opinions to eat away at our convictions much like the way a cancer overtakes a body. For I fear physical death can't be that far behind spiritual death. I agree with the person who said, "America, you're too young to die!"' WebServant
