"By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life." Psalm 42:8

A person having a relationship with Jesus Christ should live in such a way that those around them see evidence of their faith. I'm sure you agree that godliness should be a natural reaction to life and not a contrived display of holiness.

I recall a speaker to our youth group many years ago. This person held an orange in his hand and asked, "What is this?" We all laughed, as someone in the back spoke up and said, "Why, it's an orange of course, what do you think it is?" Everyone burst into laughter, including the speaker. We didn't know at the time, but we played right into his "attention" trap.

He responded, "That sounds like a stupid question, doesn't it? Tell me how you know it is an orange." From around the room people gave their answers; "It's color"; "It's smell"; it's shape".

The speaker then stated that all those things could be faked. "The only way to truly know what it is to do this." He then took the orange, cut it open and squeezed it's juice into a bowl and tasted it. He said, "You know it's an orange because it contains orange juice."

He then ended his presentation with a simple challenge; "Most of you claim to be a Christian, but what came out of you the last time you were squeezed? The world can tell what you are by what comes out of you when you are squeezed! What you appear to be, or say you are doesn't matter."
