Do you "save up" for rainy days? Anticipate needs in advance? Have your future all laid out in front of you?

I was sitting with a friend one day who told me that both he and an acquaintance knew in HighSchool that they would one day become Certified Public Accountants, or CPAs. Now many years after high school, those goals have been accomplished and they both use their education to help others deal with taxes and retirement benefits.

As I heard my Christian friend layout his plans for the future, I realized he possessed an "analytical" behavior style and "administrative" spiritual gift. Unlike my friend, my life is much more dynamic, in that I am not sure what I want to be when I grow up. At my age that sounds like a whimsical statement, but in truth I am ready to make a radical adjustment today should I desire to do so.

I conclude that neither lifestyle is "better" than the other, regardless of what someone might imply. In each person, there is a lesson to be learned. Even though I would not like to deal with financial data all day long, I am, nevertheless challenged to become better prepared for what is ahead.

A Christian should desire to share the gospel with others. They should also understand the lesson of reciprocity through scripture; that means "loving others as you are loved, giving to others as it is given to you, etc." (Lesson expounded by Jesus in Mat 5)

As a Christian, are you prepared to witness by pointing to the verses in scripture where the plan of salvation is found? Do you know the location of certain verses that will encourage someone who needs it? Offer them sympathy? Convey hope? If not, I'm afraid your lack of preparation reveals a spirit of neglect and ungratefulness, rather than "dynamic" living. Just Thinkin'.. WebServant

"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." 1 Peter 3:15
