"The vigor of our spiritual life will be in exact proportion to the place held by the Bible in our life and thoughts." George Mueller Do you read the word of God on a regular basis? "Where is your Bible right right now?" Many men of the faith have demonstrated that daily time alone with the Bible and in prayer is the most important time of the day: John Wesley got up at 4am regularly to read the Bible. "I am going to be so busy today, I have to spend not one hour, but two hours in prayer, before I can do anything else." Billy Graham, since the age of sixteen, has set aside for prayer and Bible study at the beginning and ending of each day. Robert Murray M'Cheyne, 1813-43, the godly Scottish pastor, said, "I ought to spend the best hours in communion with God. It is my noblest and most fruitful employment, and not to be thrust into a corner. The morning hours, from six to eight, are the most uninterrupted and should thus be employed." Perhaps you feel by comparison that your prayer life does not reflect your love for God. If you have ignored, discarded or overlooked daily time in prayer and personal Bible study in the past, will you allow your past to dictate your future? Perhaps we need to get "past the past" and begin afresh - today. Just Thinkin'.. WebServant "I am resolved no longer to linger, charmed by the world's delight; Things that are higher, things that are nobler, these have allured my sight. I will hasten to Him, hasten so glad and free. Jesus, greatest, highest, I will come to Thee." (1) (Cp: Phil 3:13,14)
