Read through the Bible in OneYear PlanA - PlanB

"The Lord replied, 'My Presence will go with you, and I will give your rest.' Then Moses said to him, 'If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.'" Ex 33:15

Moses, in obedience to God, led the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage. He then, led them through the wilderness for many years by following God. Through it all, God never told Moses more than he could "handle". Instead, like the manna that fed the people on a day by day basis, God met their needs "one day at a time". "Daily bread" taught them to trust God for the future while depending on His grace to meet their immediate need. (Ex 16)

Moses' request for God's Presence was a statement of faith, not weakness. Moses knew that facing the future without God was not a good thing. Later the apostle Paul would state a similar faith, "I can do everything through him (Christ) who gives me strength." Phil 4:13

Today, you will choose to live by God's power or by your own. Which will it be?

"Father, as your send me, go before me, with me and behind me, for I declare You are the source of my life and hope. Don't let me go in my own strength but show Your might through my weakness, for I, as one of Your people, proclaim Your power is sufficient for my needs and is made perfect through my total dependence on You. Give me this day, I pray, daily bread. And if I cannot go in Your Presence, I ask that You not send me. " WebServant
