Read through the Bible in OneYear PlanA

"Finish your outdoor work and get your fields ready; after that, build your house." Prov 24:27

Priorities are those things we do while setting other tasks aside. In taking such action we demonstrate either wisdom or procrastination. No one desires to do unpleasant things, but everyone is gratified by a job "well done".

Paul encouraged the Christians in Corinth similarly: "Now finish the work so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means." 2 Cor 8:11

Notice how Paul implied that we should not only "embrace" the work with a willing heart, but also the completion of the work. In other words, "Don't only DO the work, but ENJOY DOING IT and COMPLETE IT!"

Would you call yourself a "Finisher"? Listen how the writer of Hebrews encourages us:

"You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a little while, 'He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.' But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved." Heb 10:36-39

May the three most beautiful words ever spoken permeate your heart and mind today: "Jesus said, 'IT IS FINISHED.'" John 19:30
