"I knew that this was the word of the Lord.." Jer 32:8b How many times have we experienced something that made us wonder if we had heard from the Lord? Jeremiah was a prophet and regularly heard God, or at least knew that God was "speaking" to him. He would then take appropriate action, even if it meant personal sacrifice. And it usually did! How do you know when God is speaking to you? Hebrews 1:1. Remember that verse for it plainly answers the question: "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir over all things, and through whom he made the universe." How then, does Jesus "speak" to us?
Communications involves both speaking and listening. We know that Jesus is faithful to speak to us (see above). The real question is, "Will we listen to His words or will they echo in our head until they eventually fade away, without ever being acknowledged." Just Thinkin'.. WebServant
