Read the Bible through in OneYear

"I despaired at the thought that my life might slip by without seeing God show himself mightily on our behalf. Carol and I didn't want to merely mark time. I longed and cried out to change everything - me, the church, our passion for people, our praying." Jim Cymbala, Pastor of Brooklyn Tabernacle

In his book, Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, Jim Cymbala confessed his condition before God began a miraculous work in his old church, located in Brooklyn, New York. He said he preferred death over "treading water" for the rest of his pastoral career. Preaching about God wasn't enough any more, he was desperate to see God break through his life and ministry.

The rest is history. From the day, Jim set his heart to desperately seek God, the Holy Spirit performed amazing work. Today, men and women around the world can see the supernatural anointing of God on the ministry in New York. But the real proof of God's moving has been in the remarkable change in the lives of people living in the shadow of the church steeple. Are we desperate for God to move us like He is doing in this pastor? Or, are we content to let our shallow and mediocre faith keep God from reaching people that are dying in sin all around us?
