"Oh, the depth of the riches, the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!" Rom 11:33 Have you ever wondered how you got to where you are? If you're like me, and I imagine you are, your past is filled with mistakes, wrong turns, missed opportunities and unexpected surprise. You may feel that you've planned your life and laid out every step in advance, just to be frustrated that everything didn't work out as you had planned. That person who does not know God probably views their situation as as anything but providential. The Christian, on the other hand, believes that God has opened and shut doors, provided supernatural intervention, planned encounters and guided relationships to get them to where they are today. But, how can either side prove that their belief is the correct one? All through Scripture and specifically in Romans 11:33, we are told that God's action is beyond human scrutiny? Regardless of that fact, everything God does is subject to highjack by some religion that seeks to elevate themselves to the position of their Creator. While that effort is lame, many Christians are nevertheless deceived by such argument, believing their lives are a product of luck and circumstance rather than divine care. "We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away." Heb 2:1 Where do we hear instruction? Listen to God's Word and thank Him for His providence in your life; ".. for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose." Phil 2:13
