"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart." Psalm 73:25 To say that God is a refuge suggests that He is our safe harbor from the storms of life. The Bible says, "Every one of us will die and after that, the judgment." (Re: Hebrews 10:27) Yes, from the moment we came into the world, our mortal bodies have been slowly dying. That fact alone should cause us to look beyond our mortal existence to our eternal purpose. Surely 50 to 100 years of life on earth as compared to eternity is but a second hand movement of the clock of eternity. Much of our life here on earth is spent acquiring knowledge, skill and physical stamina in order to survive. When we consider that fact, we know there is only a very short time in which we can utilize that experience and education for any meaningful spiritual purpose. The Psalmist recognized that though his physical limitation was accelerating toward death, he refused to allowed that fact to influence his attitude. He set God apart in his heart so that even in death, he might by God's power, bring glory to God. Today you may find yourself stymied by physical limitation, limited by opportunity and well advanced in age. Know that God can still be the strength of your heart. His purpose can still quicken your step and His will can create in you a undeniable desire to participate in His work in process. You can know for sure that God will equip you to do whatever work He calls you to do, regardless of your age, standing or circumstance. Don't allow death to rob you of life before you die. Psalm 139:16 tells us that God knows every day that we will live on earth. We are immune from dying until God says it's time, and when He says it's time to go to the place He's prepared for us, who wants to stay? Today, be sure of this one thing; "Don't die before you're dead!" Just Thinkin'... WebServant
