"The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance." Psalm 33:10-12 Yesterday and today we are recognizing Veteran's Day in the USA. When we contemplate the sacrifice of those men and women who are responsible for the freedom we enjoy today, we should be grateful. I love this season. In a few days, we celebrate Thanksgiving, a time when we thank God for blessing us and our nation. Not much later, Christmas season gives us the opportunity to thank God for sending his Son to earth. May we all pay homage to those who are deserving of our gratefulness. And more importantly, may we begin living like grateful people. "I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies." (1) Just Thinkin'... WebServant
