"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.". Nahum 1:7
When Jesus prayed for his disciples in John 17:6-19, he laced his words with a promise to continue praying for them, especially while they were still earth. He said, "I pray, Father that you will not remove them from earth, but protect them from the evil one while on earth". (Vs. 15)
God cares for us - his children, much in the way a shepherd cares for his sheep. And like sheep, we, his children learn to rely on God, the Great Shepherd of Psalm 23.
Today would be a good day to graze at the feet of the Shepherd, enjoying the fruits of our obedience and basking in the shadow of his protection.
