"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you". Isaiah 43:1b-2a What a wonderful thought: God redeemed me, knows my name and uses it when he speaks of me. When this life is over and I meet Jesus face to face, he will call me by name. Wow - That is an awesome thought! But there's a more awesome thought that comes from this Scripture. WHEN you pass through the waters; WHEN you pass through the rivers; WHEN you walk through the fire, I will be with you, the rivers will not sweep over you, the fire will not harm you. Obviously, I've emphasized the word, "when" as it's used in this passage. I done that to emphasize the reality that there is no question but trouble will come. But neither should there be any doubt within your soul that God will make a way for you through such circumstances. Today, think about the troubled waters you've known as a believer. Now think about the way God brought you through. If you're still breathing, it's evidence the flames didn't consume you. If you're not under water, it's evidence you kept you floating until you could be pulled out. While it may have been hard to see God's hand during your trial, the child of God can easily see God's provision after your trial. God knows your name and uses it. Why not speak his Name and use it by stopping where you are and thanking Him in prayer. Just Thinking... WebServant
