"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth". Psalm 34:15-16 Scripture is rich in content. In fact, I can't imagine anything I need to know that the Bible doesn't address. Take Psalms and Proverbs for example. The best way to describe the writings of David and Solomon is to compare them to a personal journal of a person's daily walk with the Lord. In Psalm 34, David describes a wealth of theology in just two verses. This is what we can glean from the text: God is righteous but man is not. God watches what men do but men don't always care what God thinks or do what he expects. Men get into trouble and sometime cry out to God. He listens when they do, assisting those whose heart is righteous but resisting those who do not cry out. Do you pray regularly, crying out to God in your distress? The question that we all need to answer is this: Are we living in such a way that the Lord is pleased with us? If we never cry out to the Lord, how can we be certain that God is assisting us through problems rather than resisting us by introducing problems? Just Thinkin'... WebServant
