Read the Bible through in OneYear

"This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares." Romans 2:16

Paul is speaking of a time, yet in the future, when Jesus Christ will judge all men. At that time, there will be no secrets left for anyone to hide. Everything will be made known and laid bare before the eyes of him who will judge and jury over every living thing. (Re: Heb 4:13)

There are two future dates when men will be judged. Hebrews 4 (above) speaks of one day when the redeemed must give an account to Jesus for what they did, or didn't do on earth. Scripture says this Bema Judgment (Greek for The Judgment Seat of Christ) and is reserved for believers. Every person judged at the Bema will be rewarded with eternal life with Jesus regardless of how they fare in the judgment.

And then there is the Great White Throne Judgment, which Scripture speaks of in Revelation 20. This judgment is reserved for everyone that isn't included in the Bema, which occurred earlier in the future than the GWT. It doesn't matter it they are alive or dead.

The GWT is a date that men won't be able to resist. And why is it that men will want to skip this invitation from God? It's because everyone who attends the GWT will be found guilty and sentenced to death, eternal death.

Now, let's consider those secrets that you're keeping from God. Surprise.. There aren't any! You'll confess them now, and seek God's forgiveness, or your secrets will be exposed in one of the two judgments. If it's the Bema, you'll cry; if it's the GWT, you'll die - forever.
