Read the Bible through in OneYear

"When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, 'You are to say, "His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep."'"
Matthew 28:12,13

Matthew gave us the inside scoop how most Jews have come to believe that Jesus' resurrection was a fraud. Scripture tells us that the lie begun as deception by the Jewish priests has circulated ever since.

It's amazing that deception has such a long shelf-life. You can't really blame the originators of the sin any more than the weak minded person who hears it and believes it. Consider the fact that no one ever discovered the dead body of the Lord Jesus and the activity around the tomb was constantly tracked.

Add to that these facts:

  • Hundreds of people met the living Christ after the resurrection;
  • The disciples' lives were turned upside down by the event, leading to their eventual martyrdom;
  • The Jews never tried to find the body of Jesus
  • Countless people would have had to conspire to keep up such a deception

So don't blame the Jewish leaders for the disbelief of the Jewish people. There's plenty of truth to destroy their lies; disregarding the truth has always been the basic right of every individual.
