Read the Bible through in OneYear

"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word." Psalm 119:9

David found that worshiping God brought him comfort and gave him strength. All through Psalms, we learn of his prayer and daily walk with the Lord, but we also learn of his inner most fears.

Psalm 119 is a journal of David's insight into God's Word. He desired to live with an upright heart and knew it was directly associated with living according to God's Word. There's no way to know how old he was when he wrote the Psalms, but David's thoughts concerning God's Word have inspired all believers through the ages.

We learn from Scripture is that David was a man after God's own heart. In verse 11, we learn what can only be called the secret of his success: "I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you." No doubt, memorizing Scripture was the means by which David lived according to God's principles.

Are you living according to God's Word, living above life's circumstances and fulfilling your life purpose in a way you are pleasing the real Author of Psalms? If not, you can start doing so by committing Scripture to memory.

You don't have to memorize the whole Bible in order to improve your life. Start with one passage and ask God to make it real in your life. If you do, you'll find that God will give you the ability to live above your circumstances and live according to His provision. That, my friend, will please God and make your life delightful. (Vs. 15-16)
