Read the Bible through in OneYear

"Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm." Job 38:1

Have you ever noticed that God seems closer when you have a problem in your life? It took Job awhile to learn it, but he eventually did so. Satan attacked him to get him to denounce his faith in the Lord and through that distress, Job called out to God and God answered Job.

Have you ever wondered why you go through trial and tribulation? You might look at someone else who is cruising through life without a care in the world (so it seems) and wonder to yourself, "Why am I going through this?"

Sometime I think the storms in my life are prescribed specifically for me. When the sailing is easy and there are no significant waves to navigate, its human nature to take our eyes off the Lord. But, He knows what it takes to get our attention and deep down, each one of us wants to know what God has to say to us in the storm. I know I do.

Understand that the world doesn't revolve around you and me; everything that happens is not designed for our benefit. But if the Spirit lives in us, He uses every opportunity to instruct, rebuke and encourage us in God's Word.

Today I leave you with a simple thought. I hope you receive it knowing that God has a wonderful plan for your life and wants you to grow closer to Him every step of the way. Think about this:

If you never had a crisis in your life, how would you know that God could deliver you?
