"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other." Ecclesiastes 7:14 Today marks the first of what I pray will be many fruitful days of ministry on the world wide web via a new host. It only seems fitting that the day on which we observe Columbus Day also serves as the point of origination for this leg of our journey. Please be patient as over 10,000 files must be uploaded to the new site. I can't thank Ed and Carol Stoy enough for their kindness in hosting the Tower for these past months. That blessing has only been surpassed by their faithful friendship and earnest prayer for me and the ministry. I wish them both well and pray God will bless them abundantly above what they can ever imagine. New beginnings; they always come, but sometime we fail to welcome them with open arms because it means we leave something behind. But, if we always stayed where we were, wouldn't we miss the joy of meeting new people and discovering what God is doing elsewhere and what he wants us to do there? I've had the joy in the past few weeks to spend a lot of time compiling information on our Prayertower journey. Not so surprisingly, this "View from the Tower" has revealed a lot about my own spiritual journey over the past three years: the joy of birth, the sadness of death, the anticipation of reaching a mountain and knowing God's grace that gets us through the valley. God led us and it's all been good. Last week I met a pastor friend who thought I would be surprised to learn that his testimony was still available on the web. (I wrote a four-piece interview with him over two years ago that is still available on PT) I explained that his testimony has never been down more than a few days during all the time its been on the web. It's been my joy to provide the content and hosting by a friend who keep it on-line. God is good; in reality, it was Him that provided what was neede to keep it running. My friend was pleasantly surprised when I told him that. But, I couldn't help but wonder how many have forgotten about PT. A long time ago, I decided to continue the work through hard times even if God was the only one listening. Since then, I've come to know many new friends and retain a relationship with many old friends. Prayertower still continues to be a consistent platform for informed pray-ers. I recall what Jim Cymbala told me when I shared a prayer request with Him: He said, "The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord." To some, his reply might have sounded trite, but I understood what he said and agreed. Things (and people) come and go - it's only what we do for the Lord that remains and prospers. So, today I rededicate the Tower and my time serving the church of Jesus. I pray you and your loved ones will be blessed as together we continue to intercede on behalf of others. There is now more cost associated with the endeavor, but I'm trusting God to provide what's needed to do the work He's called me to do. See you at the cyber altar... Just Thinkin'... WebServant
