"And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time." 2 Thessalonians 2:6
Scripture tells us that Christ will return at most any time, without warning and too fast for some to change their mind about Him. We also learn in Paul's letter to the church at Thessalonica, that something is restraining the evil from overtaking the church and Satan from assuming what he thinks is his rightful place on earth's throne. Know what it is; holding him back, that is?
It might be you. God may be giving you one more brief opportunity to agree that you're a sinner by nature destined for hell, repent and turn from your evil ways, acknowledge Jesus as the Lamb of God and receive His forgiveness.
Of course, if you're not the reason, it might be someone else. Blink your eyes, will you? That's how quick it will be over. He came - you weren't ready - you've been left behind!
