"Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile..." Revelation 22:11

I love thinking about the power of God to save and grace that makes a way for the worst sinner to be forgiven, turn his life around and begin serving the Lord. If in Genesis we see all earthly things find their beginning, in Revelation we see those same things destroyed. The only thing left standing is the eternal; those who under God's banner march victorious over their former sinful nature. I say, "Hallelujah," but for others... in the vernacular of modern day language, "Turn out the lights, the party's over." God's word tells us that some time in the future there'll be no more opportunities to change your mind.

It's funny how God's grace and forgiveness can be for granted. An agnostic takes great pride in the fact God doesn't perform a "dog and pony" show to prove his existence to them (as if He could). Listen. God doesn't have to do that to prove who He is. His existence is proven quite well through ways too numerous to list. But what about you? Is your life consistent with your profession?

The reporter and his cameraman dragging a long cable, made their way to one particular player leaving the the field after the game. "Tell me, how does it feel to be a world champion?" Nine out of ten times that player will acknowledge God's role in the victory. When that's said, I often wonder what that says about the team that lost? Does God bless his favorite team with victory? Dallas fans seem to think so. I've heard it said the opening in the top of Dallas stadium is there so God can watch his team.

You might be a fan. That word got its name from someone who acts fanatic about their team winning. They consistently favor one team over another and defend them when something bad is said concerning them. They seldom change who they follow regardless of a bad game/season and they take genuine pride in the organization they represent. Those facts, I conclude, make sports fans more truthful than a lot of Christians.

Are you a Jesus fan? By that I mean, are you consistent in your service for the Lord? Do you regularly defend him when he is badmouthed? Do you take pride in him? Do you spend as much in prayer and worship than time spent in watching games on television, attending or playing them?

I remind you that today you can change the way you're doing things but one day, and very soon, you may be like Tar Baby and get your hands caught in the cookie jar of sin. Your true devotion will be permanently fixed for eternity. At that time, forget what you claim to be true; your action proves your profession, or what you believe. It's no longer important what you say but rather whom you serve.

Come on, Christian; you've been wrong too long - get right tonight while you still have time.
