"His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and you laws are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself, 'Nothing can shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble.'" Psalm 10:5-6 Perhaps you've wondered why someone who doesn't profess to have faith in God seems to have everything going for them. David did - a lot! I guess many of us wonder that so often, God must in turn wonder why we are following him. Are we doing it to have success at every turn? To have a lot of money? Friends? Be popular? Be "one-up" on our friends? If so, we haven't been paying attention to Scripture. "Taking up the cross and following him" is not an easy, nor fair road to take. (Lu 9:23) Today, why not refocus on why you became a Christian in the first place. Return to your first love and determine to spend substantive time with the lover of your soul. When you do, you'll no doubt find that what happens in the life of other people pales to insignificance when compared to what God is doing in your own. Just Thinkin'...
