"And they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." Micah 4:3b Those entering the front entrance to the United Nations Building in New York City walk under this text carved into stone. Once they're in the building, they can likely find a replica of the UN charter that starts out like this: "To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace..." Peace; it's certainly a worthy goal, but at what price and who decides what action to take? The Bible tells us that the conflict in the Middle East will escalate, becoming the epicenter of the next global conflict. Right now, nations from around the world are trying to stop the war's momentum, but God's word says it will never be over until the Prince of Peace says it's over. And when he says it over, the armies of every nation sitting around that big conference table will be bird food. Until then however, no one should wonder who the UN thinks is a threat to peace in the Middle East. Virtually every representative of the UN believes that threat is none other than the tiny little nation of Israel. I find that fact amazing, but it's even more amazing that the prophet Micah disagrees with their assessment and yet they keep his prophecy of Jesus Christ and their military defeat on the front of the building. Listen everyone! Please - No one inform the UN that the writer of their peace logo is a Jewish prophet and he's referring to the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ. They might take the inscription off the building and the irony is just too good! Just Thinkin'... WebServant
