"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." 1 Corinthians 11:1

That's a bold assertion, wouldn't you say? For a person who seemed to always be offending someone, Paul was very sure of himself. He was confident of his belief, regular in his walk and passionate about his disciples doing the same.

How confident are you of your walk with the Lord? Could you even say what Paul said? Would you even dare say it to your children, much less to other Christians? Go ahead and practice saying it: "Brothers and sisters in Christ; if you want to please God and know how to live, watch what I'm doing and do the same thing!"

I think a better question might be: "If you can't say that, why is that?" I think it might be that we are content to do the best "we" can do, but don't want to be compared with Jesus. Our excuse might be, "Jesus is God, I'm not, so don't expect me to act like him!" OK then - Be like Paul; he wasn't God. What's your excuse now?

While you're thinking of a "good" one, let me say that there are hundreds of excuses born every second to cover the fact that most of us don't want to be watched when it comes to our Christian walk. We know our shortcomings, but we just don't want everyone else to know we don't really care. Am I right?
