"The Lord's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous." Proverbs 3:33 In Proverbs we're told that God blesses some people and curses others. That's unless a righteous man like Joseph is serving in the house of a wicked master like Potiphar. The master of the house might have been under a curse from God but for Joseph's sake, God would ultimately bless him. Joseph may have been a slave but everyone around knew the Lord was with him. (Ps 39:3) You can imagine how frustrated Joseph was as he waited for an opportunity to let God shine through him. I imagine he felt abandoned during the long days and nights had it not been for prayer. Joseph's life demonstrates that God never forgets his children no matter how bad the circumstances. God was faithful to provide the needs of his children especially when the world turned their back on them and him. Then a funny thing happened when Potiphar put Joseph in charge of his house. The blessings God poured on Joseph's head spilled over to Potiphar and his family. And it's the same way today. The Holy Spirit dwelling in the heart of God's children, is the only reason the world is not under God's final judgment. Scripture says when He goes up, we go with him and when we go the world goes, but not up. (Re: 2Th 2:6-7) Are you a source of God's blessing to those who don't know Jesus? If you're allowing the Holy Spirit to live through you, you can rest assured the world is being blessed as a result of your presence. On the other hand, if you claim to know Jesus but you're living like the devil, it may not be God's blessing you need but rather God's mercy. Just Thinkin'... WebServant 1. Developed from Read
