So Abraham called that place, "The Lord will Provide." Genesis 22:14

Sometime the most complex messages are contained in the fewest number of words. Genesis 22:14 is just such a message. Abraham was about to sacrifice his son on the altar to appease God, when an alternate sacrifice of a ram caught in a bush was provided him. Not only was Issac's life preserved to fulfill God's promise to Abraham, but a heavenly gift was sent to take his place.

I don't know which is better, having confidence what I'm doing is God's will, or knowing that at any moment God might point me in another direction better than the first. That's what Abraham felt when he proclaimed the place where it happened should be known by God's name, Jehovah-jireh, meaning "Upon the mountain of the Lord it will be provided."

Today, you can have the same confidence of which I speak. Having the boldness to trust God's word without a second thought and the trust for his word that makes you bold enough to change directions with another word from God.

Have you found such confidence? It can be yours, but it begins with trust but requires action on your part to prove it. Many people say they believe the truth and by virtue of having such confidence, think their faith is good enough. But according to Scripture, the only thing that matters is how the truth has changed what you do and and the relationship you have with God and with men.
