What is truth? Pilate asked.
John 18:38

He said it, but I wonder if Pilate's statement to Jesus was exactly that, just a rhetorical exclamation rather than a legitimate question. After all, if Pilate wanted to know the truth, who better to give it to him than the Living Truth. However, Pilate was like the Jews who sent Messiah to him. He didn't want to know it or him, he just wanted him to go away and stop making him face his sin.

I sometime wonder why Jesus spoke in parables until I study his conversation with the supposed geniouses of his day. After all, who after hearing the stories Jesus told was prepared to pass judgment of all the hidden meaning? Even after 2,000 years, people are still trying to read between his "lines."

Have you met the one who not only tells the truth but IS the Truth? Jesus has the words of life and hides it from no one, but reveals it to anyone who will listen with their heart and not just their ears.
