However, I admit that I worship the God of our fathers, as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. Acts 24:14

A few Jewish elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, brought Paul before Felix, the governor of the land to have him sentenced to death. But Paul eloquently made his case before the governor and was granted time and a little freedom for Felix to consider his defense. Felix kept him in jail for almost two years before the Jews convinced Festus, the successor to Felix to send him to Jerusalem for trial as the Jews demanded. It was only when Paul requested a trial by Caesar that Festus relented and send Paul to Rome instead.

Paul's was not apologetic for being a Christian. Called followers of the Way, the first Century believers were known for following Jesus. The people of Antioch called them Christians being Little Christs. It seemed the first believers were not only followers of Jesus but were also know for their obedience to what he said.

Are you proud to be a believer? Do you tell others about it, or even more importantly, can they tell you're saved by the way you live? The first believers were not drama majors, but listened to the Holy Spirit, did what Jesus did and faithfully obeyed the word of God. If you call yourself a Christian and want the world to know you're saved, you'd be wise to do the same things Followers of the Way do.
