Jesus said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you want to enter into life, obey the commandments.”
Mt 19:17

God used, "Is that your final answer," long before a game show host.

Live it
We might be made in God's image, but there's a world of difference between us and God. For example, you'll never hear useless information coming out of His mouth, whereas most of what we say is in flux, waiting to be changed or contradicted by what comes out next. Worse yet, we try to fit God in our pattern and figure He's going to change somewhere down the road. Why Jesus lost his temper so seldom is beyond my understanding. But our Father is patient with us, not willing that any should perish, if even by slip of tongue.
People were always walking up to Jesus and asking the most bizarre questions, more times than not, to trip him up. I can't imagine being constantly watched, every word, every step, every action, even every eye movement to make sure my testimony matches my profession, but Jesus did it without messing up. I also can't understand how He was able to listen to what people were saying, knowing their true question or assertion would expose their agenda. Php 2:5 says our attitude should be like that of Christ, so maybe we need answer some questions with "Is that what you really want to know?"

Pray it
I want to be more attentive, more discerning and more encouraging in my speech, but I am unable to do anything good without Your help, Lord. So I come inviting you to search my thoughts and know my agenda, which I trust will be congruent with my testimony.
