One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

Joseph could no longer control his emotions in front of everyone who was standing around him, so he cried out, “Have everyone leave me!” No one else was there when Joseph told his brothers who he was.
Gen 45:1

Total trust is built on total disclosure and zero deception.

Live it
Most people think money issues is the single factor in most marriage break-ups. But many couples live together happily until something is revealed that one person has been hiding from the other. No doubt the most used word in subsequent counseling sessions is the word, "trust." If the offended person can't get past their disappointment and doubt, they may see no alternative but to separate and ultimately divorce. One thing is certain, a strong marriage is probably the moral fiber of one person to forgive and forget and the other to change their ways.

If you're in a relationship now and have not been forthcoming with your partner, Jesus' words, "The Truth will set you free," might become a literal reality. But, to continue hiding the truth, you will only hurt the ones you love and put off the inevitable. The same is true in your relationship with God. There is nothing hidden from him. What we think we conceal, is actually our unwillingness to trust his forgiveness and believe he can love us in spite of our failures. Want a happy marriage? Trust God, be transparent and let him handle your partner.

Pray it
Teach me God to have short accounts and not try to carry the weight of unconfessed sin. You are faithful and forgiving and I trust you. Help me live in such a way, I prove my love for you like you do for me.
