One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

Watch your step when you go to the house of God. It is better to go there and listen than to bring the sacrifices fools bring. Fools are unaware that they are doing something evil.
Ecc 5:1

Just because we give glory to God doesn't mean He wants it.

Live it
It would be nice to turn on the radio or television and tune to a station where someone delivers a message that's accurate. But sadly, that's not always the case. Where one preacher promotes a self-made gospel, another might twist Scripture to debunk another denomination or anyone who disagrees with him. Most amazing of all however, is the fact that all of them give glory to God, state the Bible is their inspiration and the Holy Spirit their source of power. If two people disagree with what Scripture says, at least one of them is not being truthful, whether they realize it or not.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone claiming to speak for God would have to pass a Pinocchio test first. The more they say things contradicted by the truth, the longer their nose grows until everyone knows them for the deceiver they are. That way, you can ask someone who says they speak for God to turn sideways before they open their mouth.

Pray it
Give us godly men and women who will represent your Word properly, God. Anoint them with your power and grace and give them words consistent with Scripture. Reveal the fakers and expose their work so no one is led astray by false doctrine or enticing words.
