Evidence accomplishes what an argument cannot.

Live it
Most of the time arguments do nothing but aggravate one person and frustrate the other. But we believers must learn to deliver the truth with impact if we want to be effective witnesses. Jesus showed us how, when he told a story of a rich man and a beggar named Lazarus. Both men died and the rich man was in constant torment in the grave and could see across the way Lazarus blessed in paradise. Knowing he would suffer eternally for his negligence in life, the rich man asked permission to go back and warn his family of what he "now" believed was in store for them. He was told, "You had Scripture and ignored it when you lived on earth. What makes you think your family would believe you and do any differently?"
God's Word offers enough proof for any person to believe, regardless of the degree of their resistive nature. But, most will mock it and refuse to consider any evidence therein. Well, at least presenting it will mark a point where arguments can end and the truth allowed to echo off the walls of deaf ears. Who knows, maybe over time it will penetrate the wax build-up and finally be processed by the brain, rather than casually dismissed as something too good to be true.
Pray it
I'm so glad your Word penetrated my hearing and I chose to believe it. Thank you that even today it can do the same for anyone who will stop, listen and consider the evidence it presents. Magnify our ministry today and give us a rich harvest of souls who hear and believe before it's too late.
