One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

His mouth is full of cursing, deception, and oppression. Trouble and wrongdoing are on the tip of his tongue.
Ps 10:7

Like the unlit head of a match, evil men will flame up against rigid opposition.

Live it
Not all religion is good, even if intentions are good. All you need to prove it is to look at what the Scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees did to the law passed down from God through Moses to the Israelites. Through years of human interpretation of Divine proclamation, these learned men became harsh lawyers who profited from their work, demeaned the people they served and criticized anything they didn't pre-approve or ordain. Their condemnation included Jesus, God's Son, who answered all their questions, but didn't satisfy their understanding. That's something when you stop and consider that they expected God to seek their approval for what He said!

Thank about this: Some people are ready to react to something or someone else as soon as they're "rubbed the wrong way." But when their way is the wrong way and the one doing the rubbing is the right way, then what you have is resistance to instruction and correction. Continuing in that way leads to hardening of the heart where a person couldn't see the Truth even if He was standing in front of them. If you've gotten to the place you rigidly deny God's word, you have the potential to flame up, but may have to wait a while for your fire.

Pray it
The first rule of education is to have a teachable spirit, but the second is even more important and that's to listen to the right instruction. You O Lord, ARE Truth and my one aspiration in life is to go Your way and not my own. Thank you Holy Spirit for being my faithful and patient Instructor.
