One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them. That person will send them at once.
Mt 21:3

Our answer to God shouldn't be "Why," but an unwavering "Yes!"

Live it
It started in the garden when the serpent created doubt in Eve concerning what God had told Adam. That same doubt finds itself at home today in anyone who hears Scripture and responds with anything less than affirmation. Unlike Flip Wilson the comedian, we can't with clear conscience say, "The devil made me do it!" He may have shown us how, but he is not the reason we are disobedient to God's commands. All it takes is one stone falling off a mountain to start an avalanche, but without other rocks joining the slide, the danger is not nearly so great. So it is with doubt. It starts when we question God's word and turns into a rockslide of disobedience when other hard-heads agree with us instead of God. Who needs the devil when we can do his work on our own?

Pray it
It doesn't take a genius to know what's true and what's a lie. I'm afraid I've sometime doubted you and called it caution, but regardless of the excuse, I rejected Scripture for the sake of doing it my way. We humans haven't learned much in 4,000 years have we?
