Cherish wisdom. It will raise you up. It will bring you honor when you embrace it.

What we fail to use, we eventually lose.

Live it
Anyone who says they know all they need to know about the Bible, hasn't been listening to God, but simply reading words. Those same people probably view wisdom as something achievable outside of Scripture, but they'd be wrong. There are two ways to view things, God's way and the wrong way. A wise man considers Scripture the foundation for knowing God and will gladly surrender his own perspective in order to know God's point of view. Of course, knowing what God thinks won't accomplish much until you act on it and react to what happens in the way God would.

Some think discernment is the same as wisdom, but it's not. When King David died and Solomon took his place on the throne, Solomon asked for the ability to distinguish (discern) between right and wrong in order to rule the people properly. God not only granted his request, but also gave him wisdom to know how he would do it. Solomon didn't maintain that lifestyle all his life, but while he did, God also blessed him fame and fortune. Unfortunately, knowing the endgame, too many of us ask for God's blessing but never get it, because we're unwilling to do things God's way even when we know it. We do that enough, soon we don't know it and eventually won't understand it, so why even ask. I bet you knew this would wind up being a prayer issue, didn't you?

Pray it
It's not hard to lose something when you're not looking for it. You've given me the greatest privilege on earth. That is to know Your heart and participate in what You're doing, but all too often, I'm overly concerned with other things and fail to pray. If it's hard for me, then it's got to be hard for everyone else. Do what it takes to make us people of prayer, who know Your word, love it and cherish it by spending time with the Author.
