There's no need to read the Bible unless you plan on listening to God.

Live it
If you're a parent with young kids, you've got to love Christmas Day. After all the effort to hide and wrap presents, then comes the assembly of toys and installation of sophisticated digital devices. You can only hope there's a good instruction manual and that everything works because you don't want to return something in the Christmas rush. Worse yet, you don't want to talk to a support rep on the phone who is located who knows where and can't understand or speak English. And you thought you could give your brain the weekend off.

It was years ago I bought a modem to connect my computer to the Internet. When I couldn't get it to work, I looked in the box for a telephone number to call for help, but there was none. What I did find was a tiny piece of paper that read, "You can get help online at [web address]." Just how do they expect me to get help online if their device can't get me online? Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem with missing and inadequate instruction? Thank God the operating manual for the Bible is the Bible.

Pray it
Thank you for the Bible; its instruction, simplicity, consistency, availability, timeliness, application, perfection, scalability, power, confirmation, conviction, influence and relevance - just to mention a few things.
