Question for question deserves answer for answer, unless you're clueless.

Live it
My first job after getting married was in sales for a door company. That didn't work out too well so I used my new resume to land a position with our local power company where I worked as a draftsman. For two years I used a LeRoy ink pen to modify mylar block maps as changes were made to the city's infrastructure. After a while I jumped ship to take a job as a structural engineering draftsman. A year and a half later I used my newly gained knowledge of buildings and technical drawings to land a job estimating for a steel fabricator. Before leaving the metal industry, I had performed every facet of metal work including actually fabricating the steel and aluminum products we sold. Now, forty years later I've made full circle. As the Door Man, I sell, fabricate, install and service the security business in our city. It's so ironic how we use the sum total of our experience to remain in or around the thing we've done most of our life. My joy however, has always been music and leading singing in church is what I've enjoyed most.
After the birth of my first child, there was hardly a time she didn't hear me singing around the house and at church. Kelly was just a couple of years old when I was doing technical drawings at home for extra money. One day a church member told me my toddler had told them I was drawing at night. That amazed me for she was barely able to talk and had no understanding of technical drawing. Then it dawned on me. Kelly was referring to a song I sang with the lyrics, "Your Redemption Draweth Nigh." What people heard her say was true, even though what they thought she said was misconstrued. I've come to the conclusion that's exactly what people have always done with Jesus' words. We hear him, but without personal experience with Him, we're left to draw the wrong conclusion about him and then spread the news of what he never said.
Pray it
Thank you for revealing truth to babes and frustrating the understanding of wise and intellectual bigots. Please keep me from ever getting like that.
