Possessions seldom shrink but expand according to the capacity of the container.

Live it
My wife and I had a conversation yesterday that many of you have every now and then. My wife's parents recently died leaving nothing of monetary value, but many things of sentimental value. After dealing with creditors and predators of their meager estate, what do you do with what's left? This stuff meant so much to them and no doubt some of it means a lot to you, but most of it is stuff no one wants. Enter the storage facility.

They're seemingly located on every corner of the city, but aren't storage buildings little more than a means to put off a decision until tomorrow, a tomorrow that may never come? Until then, we deal with a monthly reminder that we're doing exactly what our parents did. That is, holding on to memories that at the end of the day will pass to our children. They then, will have the same decision to make concerning possessing things they don't need but meant a lot to us, their grand-parents, great- grandparents, et al. That raises an interesting question, "Do we possess our stuff or does our stuff possess us?"

Pray it
Stuff burns, but the soul wrapped around the great promises of Scripture will endure the passing of time. Put a bow on me if you like, but please tie me tight with Your ribbon of love.
