But if we say, ‘from humans,’ we’re afraid of what the crowd might do. All those people think of John as a prophet.” So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.”
Mt 21:26-27
When questions are asked of most leaders, their answer comes back as talking points that, not only avoid a direct answer, but have no bearing on the question or the truth. No wonder our nation's capital is overrun with scheming politicians and virtually void of honorable statesmen and honest reporters of the news.
It's important to note this problem didn't start in Washington. Since the beginning of time, men have chosen to ignore the truth for the sake of concealing their agenda and avoiding prosecution. But, we call them ignorant and we're accused of intolerance; we call them liars and are in turn called insensitive. It seems to me that until more intolerant, insensitive people step up, truth will continue to be a foot mat for ignoramuses.
Pray it
Forgive us for praying for revival in the church and restoration of our country without being willing to sacrifice anything.
