Live it
I sat across from a South Korean man who didn't speak my language. Having been in Saudi Arabia for a week and preparing to go home, I wanted something to remind me of my time there. So he took a ring off his finger and motioned for me to extend my hand. I thought it was a gift, but it wasn't, for it valued at several hundred dollars. When he placed it in my hand, however, it fell into several loosely connected pieces. He laughed at my surprise, and I knew there was a story to be told. It was after we went to the jewelry store in downtown Riyadh and I purchased my own puzzle ring, that he told me.

It seems the ring was designed by commission of an Egyptian Prince who wanted to make certain his wife was faithful. It was never to be taken off her finger, for when it did, it would surely come apart and she would not be able to put it back together. In that way he would know she was unfaithful. For the next couple of days my Korean friend taught me the Prince's secret by showing me how to disassemble and reassemble the ring over and over again. If the story ended there, it would be funny; but on two different occasions when I got back home, a woman noticed my ring and asked if I knew how to put it back together. Each of them asked me to help fix their ring and with my wife's permission, I did so when they later brought their rings to me. No, I didn't question their marriage fidelity! Get your mind out of the gutter!

Pray it
I wonder how many times in my life I've been in pieces and I asked You to put me back together again?
