It is better to go to a funeral than to a banquet because that is where everyone will end up. Everyone who is alive should take this to heart!

Live it
Choice is good, even though some of the ones we make are wrong. In Shreveport, Louisiana today, my wife and I are enjoying the annual reunion of our family on my mother's side. We drove here Friday with one of my brothers and his wife in their new car. I especially enjoyed the interaction between us, the cell phone bluetooth device connected to the car's audio system and the GPS navigator. As convenient as those contraptions are, things didn't work out quite as we hoped. The bluetooth reception was less than desired as those in the car behind us couldn't understand what we were saying. But the funniest malfunction was the "help" our GPS afforded us.

We asked the GPS to direct us to Southern Food Restaurant for lunch. We'd never been there before, but it sounded adventuristic and we followed the audible directions until it directed us to an old part of downtown where we heard, "You have arrived at your destination." However we found ourselves at the front gate of a correctional facility with no commercial development anywhere in sight. By the end of the day, we laughed at the "malfunction" of our GPS and Bluetooth phone device. You know, it's sad when we find ourselves at the wrong place at the wrong time doing the wrong thing. But, regardless of how we got there or who's to blame, when we linger too long there, the fault belongs to us.

Pray it
Thank you for directing me through life and for devices that assist me in my journey. But, thank you more for Your word that instructs me what to do when I get there.
