| Live it Years ago I worked for a Utah-based company called Novell, first as technical support, then as account manager. I later became a consultant in the network industry based on my experience there. The term networking is equated with so many other things these days, let me explain what Novell did. attaching them to a device called a file-server. Then software would allow them to share files and resources like printers. These days, most kids understand this principle, but back then, people had to be educated, so most of my sales presentations were actually lessons in computer connectivity. As is the case with most companies where I worked, management eventually asked me to relocate and choosing not to I would leave and do something else. With so few qualified people in the industry, I started helping other companies setup networks, training someone to be my liaison on-site. Before long, those people would quit and started competing with me for the same business. Now, with more than one network consultant serving the local market, soon a service call to a new client involved telling the client what the last person did wrong before offering your solution to correct it. Funny thing though, if you work long enough for someone, new management will come and eventually find someone to replace you who will do the same to you. It was then I learned one of life's most simple lessons; you can always depend on a new expert to find what was wrong with the last one. Pray it Resources
