You have seen it ; yes, you have taken note of trouble and grief and placed them under your control. The victim entrusts himself to you. You alone have been the helper of orphans.
Ps 10:14

One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

We tend to take for granted those with whom we don't communicate. 3260

Live it
I've always found it difficult to remember someone's name, even if I was just introduced to them. However, I can do it if I make a conscience effort, like associating their name with something else and using it several times over the course of a few days. Psychologists say spaced repetition like that is the best way to remember something. I don't know about that, as some days I feel blessed to remember my own name.

All of us have, at one time or another, crammed information in our head just hours or minutes before we needed it. That might work well for a test, but did we not forget it all as quickly as we memorized it, like cool summer rain falling on a blistering hot sidewalk? A wise person works hard to memorize information they think they will need, which includes Scripture. But, most of us don’t even acknowledge what God is doing in our life, much less stop long enough to enjoy it and spend time in prayer thanking Him. And don't you hate it when you hear the report of how someone is doing after you promised to pray for them but you never did? I forget; is that bad memory, deception or negligence?

Pray it
Thank you for reminding me to remember to pray, who to pray for and how to pray.
