Those who follow Jesus know what others can only speculate. 3278

Live it..
What was it that amazed people about Jesus? Was it his words or the way he spoke them; his confidence or his consistency, his demeanor or the truth that cut through their own skepticism? I'm sure people were curious because of the diverse cross-section of people who were following him. They may have also questioned the testimony of those who life he touched and they wanted more confidence for their doubt. I think I would have been in those crowds listening to Him. Not only did He make sense, but He was consistent and spoke as someone with authority, whose actions were consistent with what He said.
In these days of instant news and 24-hour talk radio, you can not only hear candid conversation about anything, but from every viewpoint imaginable and from people you wouldn't regard if you met them on the street. I have the most respect for the talk show host who can listen to the same people spout twisted and skewed opinions and still maintain his civility. I couldn't do it. My internal switching mechanism wouldn't allow certain people to even speak much less treat their viewpoint with respect. But then, every once in a while, sanity breaks through the airwave chaos and you hear someone make sense. If even for a brief moment of time, you have hope that not everyone is a babbling idiot, marching to the endless chant of other idiots in a long line of idiots. Wow! Thanks, I feel better now.
Pray it
Thank you for listening to me when I probably wouldn't. The fact You regard what I say is more than I can handle, and the idea you enjoy spending time with me is beyond my comprehension. I don't know why, but I'm so glad you do!
