Sorry for that gross example, but that's exactly what it's like for a lost person to assess their spiritual condition on their own. A person doesn't know anything's wrong until they see themselves as God sees them, in the light of His Word. Then, they have the choice to admit their condition, apply the living Water to their wounds and find healing, or continue on in their sinful condition. I saddens me to think how many people will die today, having never used the holy reading glasses still in their pocket. I pray you're not so stubborn, you're willing to pay an eternal price for it.
