One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

Wicked people bend their bows. They set their arrows against the strings to shoot in the dark at people whose motives are decent.

Live it..
Each of us was born with one of four social behavioral styles. This explains why one person loves meeting people and selling things while another loves anything organizational, like doing accounting. One person is gregarious and the life of the party and another will stand in the corner of the room and wait for someone like him to migrate there. They're neither good or bad on their own, but when blended with the sinful nature, their actions range from inspiring to insidious. These tendencies can only be controlled by the Holy Spirit, who came to live in us when we were saved and will stay until He completes His work. When he came, he gave our social behavior style a make-over.

Most think our spiritual gift was random and made us new and different. But in fact, with God in our life we are new, but still the same person. We have new desire, but still have old tendencies, a vicious inner conflict unless we give the Holy Spirit freedom to change us from the inside out. When we do and He does, what was once a bad tendency becomes just the opposite, making us in effect a new person. It would be nice if the story ended there, but some of the worse sin is committed by good people, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, but who have never given Him control. So you know, our spiritual gift is not a mask we can put on or take off to appease our sinful nature, but new tendencies that should be stronger than the old ones.
