Live it.
Don't you love standing in line? There's just something about being first or at least being closer to the front than the people behind you. The only thing worse than standing in line may be not knowing if you're in the right line. That is, unless you waited in line and when you get to the front realize the person in front of you is the last person to be recognized. Or, there's the dreaded moment you learn after a long wait in line, that the business is closed and there was no need for a line at all. But the frustration of all frustrations may exist on the city streets and not in front of a store.

In Memphis we drivers have a tradition of speeding past someone in order to get in line in front of them so we can wait behind someone who just raced past us. I realize there are benefits associated with being first, but I'm always amazed at people who drive at dangerous speeds in congested traffic to get somewhere two or three minutes ahead of everyone else. There are benefits to not being first, you know. Like when you drive pass one of those speedsters who are on the side of the road being ticketed. It doesn't happen much, but when it does, it serves as poetic justice. After all, who races to get to be first in line to get a speeding ticket? Call me old fashioned, but going slow in a fast-paced world is not a weakness, but having enough common sense to enjoy the trip and make it safely to your destination.

Pray it
I am so thankful for the fact there are no waiting lines to speak to You. It makes me wonder however, if having a line might make more people get in line?
