One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

A sword is made for conflict if intimidation doesn't work. 3300

Live it..
I think Noel and I were in elementary school when we locked horns on the playgroud. I have no clue as to what the fight was about. The bell rang and we were still rolling on the ground in hand to hand conflict when a teacher separated us. Personally I'm glad because I think I was losing the battle. If it was an alpha-male thing, our friends must have put us up to it, because both Noel and me were mild-mannered and became friends later. I guess it was just a planetary alignment or something.

I don't know about Noel, but I didn't have the benefit of a brother at home with whom I could wrestle. There were so many years separating us, I was like a stuffed bear for them to toss and swing about. In fact, my oldest brother liked to hold me upside down by my ankles and swing me. But, the fun turned to regret one day when mom took me to the hospital for stitches in my chin. My brother accidently released me in a swing and I went flying through the window glass to the ground below. Sigh.. Still have the mark to prove it, but no hard feelings. How do you hurt a big fluffy teddy bear anyway?

Pray it
Teach me how to use the sword of the Spirit to fight my battles.
