One-Minute Devotionals reveal in a single sentence, underlying truth about specific Scripture.

He said to them, “Then how can David, guided by the Spirit, call him Lord? David says, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Take the highest position in heaven until I put your enemies under your control.” ’
Mt 22:43-44

Relationships with others are no better than the one we have with Jesus. 3301

Live it..
How does "He's my best friend," become "I knew him?" One of the benefits of Facebook is the ability to search by name and other key information to find people you haven't seen in years. If you're successful, you're then able to catch up on everything that's happened since you last saw them. Case in point, recently I enjoyed becoming reacquainted with some friends I had in high school over forty years ago. Together, we've been trying to relive some of the times we spent together, but alas, I can barely remember myself back then, much less anyone else. And, we haven't talked much since being reacquainted.

If you're like me, you might know some married couples who were dating in junior high and are still married. To me that's amazing. They must represent what true friendship is. Then, on the other hand, you have wonder if their little snips at each other is innocent play or a symptom of not spending time with anyone else. Similarly, the other day I congratulated our new county mayor for his recent election victory. I reminded him in a email (he'll probably never read), that I was in his freshman class in college. Of course, we didn't talk much then and even less since then. I was reminded at that moment that the majority of people who say they know Jesus, haven't talked with Him since the day they say they met Him. You have to wonder, "Does Jesus consider me a friend or acquaintance?"

Pray it
Thank for the time we spend together. Even when I'm not talking much, You still care enough to talk to me.
