The LORD is in his holy temple.
The LORD’s throne is in heaven.

They examine Adam’s descendants. |

| Live it.. I still remember that night in college when I left the campus in Jackson and drove home to Memphis. I asked my best buddy to go with me to be my lookout on the expressway. You might think I was planning to speed home, but what I did was far worse. You see, the headlights in my 1966 green Pontiac GTO weren't working. I figured driving after midnight would reduce the amount of traffic and thereby the risk. However, without street lights on the road except in Jackson and Memphis, my dependence on moonlight was soon to be introduced to disappointment. |

Like so many times in my life, God protected me - in spite of my stupidity, but I had my first encounter with true darkness. In fact, that might have been the first time I ever prayed. Without any other traffic to give perspective and no other light source available, I had to frequently pull over and wait for a vehicle to come up from behind. Then I would accelerate to get behind them, and hopefully stay there without speeding. After all, I didn't want to get a speeding ticket and then be cited for having no headlights. Yeah, like that was gonna work! But before you criticize my youthful indiscretion, consider that's the same mentality you have when you live precariously thinking God might not see what you're doing. I learned my lesson without suffering loss, but it remains to be seen how that works for you. Pray it Resources 1. One-minute
